MEET OUR PASTORS
LEAD PASTORS JIMMY & DANIELLE WASHER
Hello and a big welcome. We are Jimmy & Danielle and we have had the most exciting time Launching Freedom Church with the New Life Churches of New Zealand here in New Plymouth.
We have been in full time ministry now for over 16 years. Our biggest passion in life is to see people come to know God and to watch God set them free!
We have four beautiful children who love their new home here in Taranaki especially being so close to the beach.
I (Jimmy) am originally from Taranaki and I'm so overwelmed to finally be home. We love New Plymouth and the whole region and we're so excited for what God has in store for the future.
Danielle “A passion for kingdom started when I was radically saved at 17 after battling a severe drug addiction and being arrested in a stolen car, later I was dragged to church by my recently saved brother and was overwhelmed by the love of God, running to the front of the church to follow Jesus for the rest of my life..”
Jimmy “At 20 years old ,after being stopped on the street and invited to church, I encountered the love of God and realized though growing up in church most of my life. I had never really followed Jesus. After having dinner with some new Christian friends and developing an amazing friendship with them, I was overwhelmed with the love of God and in the middle of the night walking home i decided to follow Jesus with everything".
A couple of years later we met, fell in love and went into full time ministry believing God wants to do amazing things through people in New Zealand!
ASSOSIATE PASTORS RYAN & ALYSHA SEXTUS
RYAN & LYSH Have been apart of the Freedom journey from the beginning. They have an incredible heart for the kingdom of God and seeing people around them come to know Jesus. Ryan & Lysh are also credentialed Pastors with the New Life Churches of New Zealand and serve on the Pastoral Team here at Freedom Church New Plymouth.
ALYSHA “The love of Jesus was shown to me throughout my life mostly through my grandparents, my great aunt and uncle and their besties. They all unconditionally loved me and directed me towards God in a non pressuring way. I eventually developed my own personal, unapologetic and loving, relationship with Jesus in my university years which created a fire in my spirit to share Gods love with others. I feel like my life since then has been full of “focused ministry” whether it be sharing with my work mates while at Pak n Save, praying with my students to give their hearts to the Lord as a secondary school teacher or being a genuine loving friend to other mamas in my child rearing season. God brought Ryan and I together with the same hearts to pursue a lifestyle of sharing the love of Jesus, which in this season is in New Plymouth. We are SO excited to be doing this alongside Pastors Jimmy and Danielle.”

FREEDOM MINISTRIES
Freedom Ministries was founded by Pastors Jimmy & Danielle Washer in 2017 with the heart to plant churches and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Currently we are located in New Plymouth New Zealand. We are so excited to have completed our first goal which was to plant Freedom Church here in New Plymouth, Taranaki.
Our next goal is to train and equip a team of young leaders, to develop and maintain a partnership team that will enable them to reach the community they love full time with the gospel!
We love following Jesus and we love watching God set people free!
